Swim in a Lie
Words and Music by Mike Lasala (c) 2005
Stay out of deep water if you can’t swim I’ve been told it’s smarter
You should leave or lose even if you win before it gets harder
So what’s the point of this exercise before you if there is no truth
It’s like a ghost limb that you still can feel though it’s so removed

So I’ll swim in a lie
No matter how I try It never seems to be enough
Am I far enough away from you
To see above the rising tide

Days pass into weeks and the treading grows I am losing some steam
The fact of the matter is never should set foot In this harbor of dreams
So what’s the point of this exercise before you; if there is no truth
It’s like the ghost ship that you never see though it's so removed

So I’ll swim in a lie
No matter how I try It never seems to be enough
Am I far enough away from you
To see above the rising tide

I’ll swim in a lie
No matter how I try It never seems to be enough
Am I far enough away from you
To see above the rising tide

I’ll swim in a lie
No matter how I try It never seems to be enough
Am I far enough away from you
To see above the rising tide
